SUMMARY:Inclusion Day at Musikfest
DESCRIPTION:Accessible Festivals will be presenting an Inclusion Day at Musikfest on Saturday August 7th in Bethlehem\, PA in partnership with the non-profit organization ArtsQuest! \nSaturday\, August 7th will be dedicated to Inclusion Day on the SouthSide Arts District\, featuring ASL Interpretation and Audio Descriptions for the ‘Start Making Sense’ and ‘Cinnamon Jones’ shows\, as well as a ASL interpretation for Steven Page and Jim Tews (comedy). A livestream production with live captioning for ‘Start Making Sense’ will also be featured along with a sensory-friendly listening lounge and BassPaks donated by Silent Sound System. \nAdditionally\, during most of Musikfest\, which takes place Aug. 6-15\, 2021\, space within the Frank Banko Alehouse Cinemas will be converted into The Inclusion Zone\, a sensory-supportive space that will provide services\, tools and amenities to benefit individuals with sensory-processing difficulties of all ages and abilities. The Inclusion Zone will operate Monday-Friday from 4-10 p.m.\, Saturday from 12-10 p.m. and Sunday from 12-8 p.m.

DESCRIPTION:This holiday season we will be hosting a virtual fundraising auction\, and celebrating the importance of music and recreation in all of our lives. \nWhile ongoing efforts continue in the civic\, corporate\, education\, private\, and non-profit sectors to ensure inclusive and accessible accommodations for all abilities\, little has been done to ensure the accessibility of live music\, entertainment\, and recreational events. Accessible Festivals is committed to filling this void by providing resources\, a roadmap\, and model that encompasses\, engages\, and celebrates the inclusion of people of all abilities in enjoying the social\, emotional\, and health benefits of recreation and leisure experiences. Our in person and online Inclusion Festivals\, ticket gifting program\, and training and consultation services provide a robust and innovative approach to achieving this goal. \nOur virtual auction will provide critical funding\, enabling us to continue our mission and support the changing landscape of the music and recreation industries as COVID-19 continues to redefine issues of access and inclusion for all. \nGive the gift of access and inclusion while securing amazing live music and other experiences for you or a loved one! \nAuction opens Thursday December 10\, 2020 \nMore details coming soon!
